HDTV Supplys WolfPack™ 4K 60 Hz HDMI HDBaseT Extender can extend high-definition video/audio signals, RS-232, and Bi-directional IR at a distance of up to 492 feet or 150 meters between transmitter and receiver via a single CAT6 cable. The 4K 60 Hz HDMI HDBaseT Extender supports resolutions up to 4K2K@60Hz 4:4:4, 18Gbps, HDCP 2.2, and has an HDMI loop port on the Transmitter (TX). Our 4K 60 Hz HDMI HDBaseT Extender supports de-imbedded audio for L/R audio output and PoC function. In addition, the extender is equipped with two-way IR pass-through which allows for source and display control.

This 4K 60 Hz HDMI HDBaseT Extender includes two units: a transmitter unit and a receiver unit. The transmitter unit is responsible for capturing an HDMI input signal carrying the signal via one cost-effective CAT6/7 cable, and transmitting/emitting IR control signals. The receiver unit receives the HDMI signal and transmits/emits an IR control signal. The RS232 ports can control a projector or TV from the source end. Premium TVs and Projectors have a 2-way serial control port for the remote control. A system like Control4, Elan & Crestron can use the RS232 as the control instead of an IR or IP Network control.

NOTE: CAT6 SPECIFICATIONS: Please use "CAT6 Shielded S/FTP (500-MHz) 23 gauge solid with shielded connectors" with this system as its published specs came from tests using it. Using other CATx cables that do not support 500-MHz may, or may not, allow the system to conform to our published specs and could cause performance issues.

Also, direct wiring gives the best performance and stays away from EZ45 connectors, patch panels, or passive wall plates. If you have a budget, we suggest installing a 2nd CAT6 cable as a backup.

HDTV Supply implemented the HDBaseT technology, and this HDBaseT Extender with 18 GBPS Bandwidth adds virtually zero latency to the signal, which is less than 7 microseconds over 220 feet of CAT6 cable. At 100 feet you are talking about 3 microseconds. For example, in a church or auditorium, the speaker's lips align with the image on all the TVs and projectors.

HDTV Supply, Inc. is an HDBaseT.Org Approved Adopter of HDBaseT™ Products.

Why not buy this WolfPack 4K 60 Hz HDMI HDBaseT Extender today?

Q: Does it include both a transmitter and a receiver?
A: Yes and 1 - AC adapter as it is a POE (POC) design.

Q: Do you know if the remote IR works with a HDMI matrix switch or splitter?
A: These HDMI extenders will send both HDMI video and audio from a matrix or splitter, but the remote IR is designed to be used with only one source, like a cable box, to one widescreen. There would be too many IR cables to attach to the source's IR window. Please take a look at our HDMI switchers and splitters that have it integrated. If you use the IR function, the supplied AC adapter must be put on the Receiver, not the Transmitter.

Q: How is HDBaseT technology different than others?
A: Unlike other HD distribution technologies, HDBaseT is the only technology that enables CAT6/6/7 connectivity from 70 meters to 100 meters, depending upon the specific product, for uncompressed full HD multimedia content and up to 100 watts of charging power via a single cable. HDBaseT is optimized for video applications and can connect all HDBaseT-enabled home entertainment devices. Also, HDBaseT technology can deliver double the resolution available today to future 2K and 4K formats. Other existing solutions also require a specific cable and a new proprietary connector while HDBaseT utilizes the existing Ethernet infrastructure.

HDMI HDbaseT Extender Helpful Tips & Recommendations:

  • Keep cables away from any equipment with an electromagnetic wave, e.g., mobile phones, microwaves, radio equipment, fluorescent lamps, high voltage power lines, etc.
  • Please adhere to the TIA/EIA568B standards when terminating network cables in the field.
  • Shielded CAT6/6 with metal RJ-45 connectors are recommended to safeguard against random video flashes caused by electromagnetic interference (EMI).
